From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional-grade gear to help people stay and feel alive for more than 140 years. The legend was born in 1877 when sea captain Helly Juell Hansen found a better way to stay protected from the harsh Norwegian elements. Soon thereafter, Captain Hansen and his wife Margrethe launched a business producing waterproof oilskin jackets, trousers, sou'westers, and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil.
Our iconic performance ski jacket offers protection, comfort, and the technical details you need for the best ski day. Constructed with HELLY TECH PROFESSIONAL technology, the design is extremely waterproof and breathable, suitable for highly aerobic, extremely wet, or unusually long-lasting activities in extremely harsh conditions. The jacket features fully seam-sealed construction and a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) treatment.
The jacket boasts a range of innovative features, including H2Flow Technology, LIFE POCKET, SKI FREE, a fold-away hi-vis brim, PrimaLoft Gold Insulation in the body, and PrimaLoft Black Hi-Loft 80g insulation in the sleeves and hood. It also includes a RECCO rescue system, a detachable powder skirt, a helmet-compatible hood, and a detachable hood with adjustability.
This jacket is well-suited for a variety of winter activities, including resort skiing, freeride, backcountry ski touring, and mountaineering. The fitted, slim-fit design allows for the jacket to be worn over baselayers and light midlayers, with pants that are slimmer through the thigh and knee and won't go much below the ankle when standing up straight.
The fabric type is Polyamide, and the care instructions dictate that the jacket should be hand-washed only. The product is imported.
